A doula (pronounced "doó la") is a non-medical person who assists a person before, during, or after childbirth, as well as their partner and/or family by providing information, physical assistance, and emotional support. My name is Valerie and I am currently working on my certification with DONA International to become a birth doula. I am passionate about this field and excited about the possibili
