🇨🇦 1️⃣ Yukon’s Nomination Allocation for 2026
The Yukon has been allocated 282 nomination slots for 2026 — these are spots it can use to nominate foreign workers for permanent residency through the YNP.
🎯 2️⃣ What Priorities Yukon Is Focusing On
The territory will prioritize applicants who either fill labour market needs or have established connections to Yukon, specifically:
✔ Regulated health care professionals (e.g., nurses, doctors)
✔ Foreign workers who:
Have lived and worked in Yukon for at least one year
Graduated from Yukon University
Are French-speaking (Francophone)
Already received a Temporary Measure Letter of Support in 2024 or 2025
People who received a Temporary Measure Letter of Support in 2024/2025 do not need to submit a new Expression of Interest (EOI) – Yukon will contact them directly with next steps.
📅 3️⃣ Intake Periods for Employers (Who Apply on Behalf of Workers)
The YNP is employer-driven, so employers submit EOIs for the foreign worker they want to nominate. The 2026 intake periods are:
🗓 Intake #1: January 19–30, 2026
🗓 Intake #2: July 6–17, 2026
Submissions that match Yukon’s priorities will receive points, and the highest scoring employers will get invited to submit full applications.
📉 4️⃣ How 2026 Compares to Previous Years
Yukon’s allocation of 282 spots is higher than its original 2025 allocation (215) after extra spots were added, but still lower than the 430 spots it had in 2024.
It’s not yet clear whether Yukon will request additional nominations beyond 282 for 2026.
