This Lake of the Woods cottage has been on the board for a while. Finally getting close to finishing this design up!

Sloped rooflines, exposed timber, stone, and big glass to take in the lake. Here's a slow walk around the exterior.

Have a lot, a lake, or a view you want a home designed around? Let's talk.

We've been getting a lot of calls from folks who already hired a draftsperson to complete their house plans, but have no idea what the place will actually look like from the curb.

That's where we can help.......

Check out this slide deck we created. It's a set of front elevation views we built from a simple line drawing of a home, showing just how many directions the curb appeal can go. The possibilities are endless!

Or skip that step completely........

If you need a new home, cottage, or renovation design, just call us from the start of the design process and we'll handle the whole plan from scratch. Working out the exterior look isn't an extra for us. It's part of every plan set we build.

It is nice to see this whole home renovation design coming together. Kudos to all the trades that have had a hand in bringing this F.T.D.C. design to life.

When a customer asks for sage green siding and white trim... it's fun to be able to show them several exteriors of the same home side by side, using the technology available today to help design their home.

Same house, two pretty different looks.
First version was a green farmhouse ranch. Clean, but the owners wanted more warmth to it. So we added wood tone gables, a stone chimney, a bit more shape to the roofline, and pulled the garage into the design. A lot more character than where it started.
Doing it in 3D means you get to see the changes and react to them before anything gets built. Way easier than trying to picture it off a flat drawing.

Inspiration is everywhere. You just have to know how to see it. 👁️
Our clients didn't come in with a magazine clipping or a Pinterest board. They provided a photo of a forgotten granary. Weathered, leaning, swallowed by the prairie grass. They said "that's what we love."
We were here for it. 🙌
That old grain shed with its vertical steel siding, steep gabled roof, and rugged prairie character became the creative heartbeat of a complete home transformation design. We took an aging bungalow and designed something that doesn't just sit on the land...It belongs to it.
This is exactly why we do what we do. Because great design doesn't always start in a blueprint. Sometimes it starts in a field. Sometimes it starts in a memory. Sometimes it starts with something most people would drive right past. 🌾
We find the story in the ordinary and build something extraordinary from it.
Got an idea that sounds a little unconventional? A photo, a feeling, a place that moves you?
Bring it. We'll know exactly what to do with it.
