With the FIFA World Cup underway, there’s a lot of focus on precision.
The same goes for a staircase like this.
 
This S-shaped stair is currently taking shape in our shop. While we see plenty of helical stairs, this type of geometry is a little less common. The stair changes direction midway through, but still needs to feel like one continuous movement from top to bottom.
 
Getting that transition right is what makes a stair like this so interesting. Even at this stage, with nothing but raw steel on display, you can already see the final shape beginning to emerge.

Something about this staircase feels like summer.
 
The natural light, glass balustrade, and floating treads all work together to keep the space feeling bright, open, and effortless. Look a little closer and you’ll notice details like the groove profile and concealed cap, which keep the hardware hidden and the overall design clean.
 
We’re ready for longer days and more projects like this.

We first shared this stair install when the steel structure was going in.

Now it’s well into the finishing stage.

One thing people don’t always realize is that prefabrication allows teams to get the stair in early and use it as the construction stair while the rest of the home is still being built. That means added utilization for the site team before we return to install the finished components and details.

In this case, that meant returning to install the cladding and soffits that completely transform the staircase.

This stair combines double-stacked geometry with a tight gap between the stair and wall, adding another layer of complexity during installation.

It’s always satisfying to see a project move from exposed structure to finished staircase.

One year ago this week, the America EeStairs team flew to the Netherlands to celebrate EeStairs’ 25th anniversary.
 
It was an unforgettable trip filled with great people, lots of laughs, and plenty of Dutch snacks. We ate more stroopwafels than we’d like to admit, and got to experience the culture alongside the Netherlands team.
 
The anniversary celebration was an incredible way to reflect on 25 years of craftsmanship, innovation, and the people who make EeStairs what it is.
 
A year later, we’re still talking about the memories from those unforgettable few days!
