Brantford just levelled up. 🚀🚀🚀
We made history! Last week, we hosted Brantford’s first-ever Live2Lead conference, and the energy in the room was electric. Bringing together our local business owners, educators, and civic leaders proved that our community isn't just growing—it’s thriving.
It was an honour to host this global experience alongside the Chamber of Commerce Brantford-Brant Bold Bureau and local leading voices like Sam Shaibu Straza and Wall
While the global speakers provided the framework, the local conversations provided the heart. Here are my top 3 takeaways as we prepare to head into 2026:
1️⃣ Active Listening is a Superpower: Leadership isn't just about having the correct answers; it’s about asking the right questions and truly hearing the perspectives of your team. This is the foundation of trust.
2️⃣ Growth is Never Accidental: As John C. Maxwell reminded us, you don't "drift" into success. You have to be intentional about your personal development plan every single day.
3️⃣ Resilience is a Team Sport: Our local panel highlighted that leadership in Brantford is about community. When we support one another’s growth, the entire region wins.
The challenge for 2026: The "conference high" is great, but habits are what create impact. As we enter the new year, don't let the flame of personal growth go out. Whether you’re leading a company of 100 or leading yourself, the further you grow, the further you'll go.
