A year ago, we lost an important piece of our small family business. Mike, it’s hard to believe that a whole year has passed since we lost you. This past year has been so much harder without you, and there isn’t a day that goes by where we don’t think about you and the role you played in our lives.
You were never just a co-worker. You became part of our family. You were someone we could count on, someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand, stay a little longer, figure something out, or step in wherever you were needed. You brought so much more to our business than just your hard work. You brought friendship, laughter, stories, and a sense of familiarity that made the shop feel like more than just a place to work.
You were one of those people who became such a big part of the everyday routine that you never imagined what it would feel like when they weren’t there anymore. Now, a year later, there are still moments where we catch ourselves expecting to see you, hear your voice, or have you walk through the door. Those little moments are reminders of just how much you meant to all of us.
A small family business is built on more than the work that gets done. It’s built on the people who stand beside you, the friendships you make, and the memories you create along the way. You were a huge part of that for us, and losing you left a space that simply can’t be filled.
It hasn’t been the same without you, Mike, and I don’t think it ever will be. We miss having you here, but we’re grateful for every memory, every laugh, every helping hand, and every moment we got to share with you.
One year later, you are still very much a part of our family and our business. Your impact will always be here, and you will never be forgotten.
We miss you, Mike.❤️
