Well... it's been a hot minute since my last post.

Has anyone else been ridiculously busy this summer??

I'm so excited to be gearing up for the Fall & Winter season.. so I thought I would reintroduce myself since I have a lot of new followers:

My name is Anita, dog mom, and mom to 4 humans. Some days you can find me sitting in my car plucking my eyebrows while I wait to pick up our teenager from work (because we all know the car had the best lighting)!

I started my business at the end of 2020, but really it's been in my head and on my heart since 2018, so I took the plunge.

Attempting many times to put together gifts filled with locally made products to send to family or friends and I oftentimes felt discouraged by the task of trying to track down my favorite artisans, and it was not without its disappointments!

Going from shop to shop only to find out their products are no longer available at that location or even worse, pulling up to that quaint little shop, only to discover they have moved or permanently closed. Heartbreaking on so many levels! So I thought to myself, 'I can't be the only one that has experienced this.' This is where my business 1000 Islands Box began.

I do all the legwork for you as we partner with some of the most talented and passionate makers you will meet! Their stories are beautiful, and their products are of the highest quality, which will provide you with a unique gift from the 1000 Islands Region while making your online shopping experience easy.

This is my story in a nutshell.

I am honored with every box I put together and send off. I am excited about where this will all go, and I look forward to meeting more talented local makers to include in our boxes.
