Please join us in welcoming Abby Jacobs to the CIPS team as our new Brand Development Assistant Summer Student!

Abby is a proud member of Curve Lake First Nation and is currently studying Sports Administration at Laurentian University. She brings a strong passion for leadership, community, and supporting Indigenous youth and communities through meaningful work and advocacy.

Growing up surrounded by family members dedicated to creating positive change for Indigenous communities has inspired Abby’s own path. Her connection to culture, community, and family continues to guide her as she learns, grows, and explores new opportunities to give back.

Abby shares that her spirit comes from the connections she holds with her family, community, and culture especially through experiences like Powwows, Little NHL, and time spent in Curve Lake First Nation.

We are excited to have Abby joining our team this summer and look forward to the knowledge, energy, and perspective she will bring to CIPS!

Today, on Red Dress Day, we honour and remember the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people.

The red dress has become a powerful symbol of the absence and loss felt by families, communities, and Nations across the country. It is also a call to action — to listen, to learn, and to stand in solidarity.

We encourage everyone to take time today to reflect, educate themselves, and uplift Indigenous voices. Awareness must lead to meaningful change.

The Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation are looking for a 'mega project' manager. CIPS has been very proud to support this endeavour for many years now and it is time for the community to lead from within.

We will support the recruitment, hiring and role transition as the project moves to 66%, 99% and 100% design and construction. There is a ton of work to do and hope this interests many people to take on this legacy building role.
