We're excited to welcome two new team members to our Orillia office!

Matt Pitre joins Hudson Restoration as our new Operations Manager, bringing over 15 years of construction and restoration experience, along with his PMP designation. His leadership, industry knowledge, and commitment to operational excellence will be a tremendous asset to our team.

We're also pleased to welcome Trevor Scheffel as a Project Coordinator. In this role, Trevor will help support project ex*****on, client communication, and day-to-day operations, helping ensure our teams continue to deliver the responsive, high-quality service Hudson Restoration is known for. We're excited to have him on board as we continue to grow throughout Central Ontario.

We are thrilled to welcome three industry veterans to our leadership team as we continue to expand across Ontario. Please join us in welcoming our newest family members:

Darrin Allport (Kingston) – Operations/Sr. Project Manager: A seasoned pro and avid boater who brings years of restoration expertise (and his dog, Kevin) to the Kingston region.

Adam Pereira (Ottawa) – Project Manager: Our "Energizer Bunny" with an unmatched work ethic. When he’s not on the move, he’s busy with his three kids and two dogs.

Sergio Novelo (Orillia) – Construction Manager: A friendly, highly social expert with a great sense of humor and a deep background in construction.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day—a time to listen, learn, and deepen our understanding.

Autism is part of many of our lives—sometimes more closely than others. For some, it’s a diagnosis. For others, it’s a different way of experiencing the world. And while it can come with challenges, it can also bring incredible strengths, perspectives, and ways of thinking that deserve to be recognized and celebrated.

Today, this feels especially close to home. In one of our own families, a child is proudly bringing a book called The Superhero Brain into their classroom—helping classmates understand autism through a lens of empowerment. The story reframes sensory sensitivities as “special powers,” showing that while autism can feel tricky at times, it can also be something truly extraordinary.

It’s also a powerful reminder for siblings, friends, and classmates—that understanding leads to patience, inclusion, and connection.

At Hudson Restoration, we believe that awareness is just the starting point. True impact comes from acceptance, empathy, and creating spaces where everyone feels valued for who they are.

Today, our team is proud to recognize World Down Syndrome Day by wearing some very wacky (and wonderful) socks 🧦

This day is all about celebrating inclusion, raising awareness, and embracing what makes each of us unique. The tradition of wearing bold, mismatched socks is a simple but powerful way to spark conversations and show support.

A big thank you to our Mississauga team for helping bring this to life—and to Odhran’s Wacky Socks for creating such a fun and meaningful way to give back, with proceeds supporting programs for children with special needs in the Hamilton community.
