🤔 What’s wrong with my smooth hydrangea? 🤔
If you’re growing smooth hydrangeas such as Annabelle or Incrediball and notice leaves that are twisted, puckered or tied together, you’re likely dealing with the Hydrangea Leaftier.
This tiny caterpillar ties young leaves together while they’re still developing and feeds from the safety of its leafy shelter. The damage can look alarming, but it’s usually cosmetic and rarely threatens the health of the plant.
You can simply open the leaves and remove the caterpillar or prune out the affected tip if desired.
