Professional organizers know our “waste management facilities” by another name: the dump. We’ve seen the down-and-dirty drop-offs and the efficient-but-slightly-prison-aesthetic locations.

But this one? This one takes the cake. 🎂

We thought we were turning into the golf course across the road. Turns out, the Halton Hills Waste Management Facility is more like a luxury all-inclusive resort for your unwanted stuff. They even greet you with a lovely, lemon-scented hot towel at the entrance. 🛎️🍋 (joking but I wouldn't be surprised 😉)

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and I’m pretty sure there’s pickleball every Tuesday.

Keep following those many, many meandering paths and who knows? You might come across a flock of flamingos—or a few bunnies wearing pink bows. 🦩🐰

Who doesn’t love a good before and after?

At Miss Kris & Co., we don’t get to power wash very often (actually… ever). So when I signed up for my villages garden club I knew I was only qualified to clean stuff - I know next to nothing about gardening.

But I did know I could give these picnic benches and visitor benches a good scrub.

I enrolled a smart neighbour with his power washer, and together with a great team we made the job significantly shorter and a whole lot less work.

Here are the photos — grungy, moss-filled, dirty-as-heck benches… and the after shots, gleaming in the sun and ready for visitors at our little village square. ☀️

This one’s part of my volunteer work with the Alton Village Association — and it feels so good to do something good.

A few weeks ago I met a woman on a virtual consult. Someone who has spent her life on the front lines of mental health advocacy — fighting for the homeless, lifting people in crisis, pouring herself out for strangers day after day.

After several back surgeries, all she needed was someone to reorganize her kitchen. So the things she loves — her baking, her creating, her therapy — could finally be within reach again.

The job was too small for our minimum hours. But she wasn’t.

Her story sat with me long after we hung up. So I did what any mom would do — I called my daughter. A hardworking university student who inherited the organizing bug and a big heart. I asked her if she’d spend a Sunday morning with this woman.

She didn’t hesitate for a second. She called in the troops with her new roommate too.

They travelled across Toronto this morning, labeller in hand, and spent hours giving this woman’s kitchen — and maybe her spirit — a fresh start. Clearly labelled. Thoughtfully organized. Ready for the first batch of cookies. 🍪

And while she paid the girls in homemade vanilla extract, they came home with something you can’t put a price on.

They got to witness what a life fully lived in service of others actually looks like. A critical lesson for our youth as they grow into their own communities.

Because in the middle of the bills and the grind and the reinvesting and the sacrificing of small business — this is the moment that reminds you why you do any of it.

Not the revenue. Not the bookings.

This.

Just a little leg up is all you need sometimes.... and sometimes our team is that support. ... tears were shed, smiles that hurt our faces, squeals of joy. For our team it goes so much farther than the business of organizing.... connection matters

We moved to a tiny village last year and met the most extraordinary people. 🏡
Today our neighbour took us on a tour of his 3 sheds and garage — and honestly? It was one of the most inspiring spaces we’ve ever walked into.
Not a matching bin or custom label in sight. Instead: baby food jars holding screws. Peanut butter jars for nuts and bolts. Labels made from leftover notepads. Neatly stacked wood scraps — enough to build anything. Pegboards lined with wrenches ordered by size. Homemade shelves sorting solvents, lubricants, and paint. And tucked in among it all — cartoon clippings from the Saturday Star saved for 40 years, patina’d photos of friends and family, mementos of a life well lived.
To the untrained eye? “This shop needs an organizer.”
To us? This space is perfect.
We can see the care. The intention. We’d bet he could be blindfolded and reach straight for a Robertson screwdriver on that pegboard — and never miss.
Here’s what we know after years of doing this work: not every space needs to look like a magazine shoot. Most of our before-and-afters are only glamorous to the homeowner. And honestly? That’s the only person who matters.
Our job isn’t to make your home look like someone else’s. It’s to make it work for you — practical, functional, and still unmistakably yours, with all the warmth and texture that makes it home.
Every project is as unique as the family who loves and lives there. 🤍

✨ Today was the kind of day that fills your cup — and reminds you that you actually HAVE a cup. 🫖

A room full of hustling, heart-led entrepreneurs came together to talk about the things we don't always say out loud: the 4am to-do lists. The racing mind at 2am. The guilt of taking a break. The art of being constantly, relentlessly ON.

And guess what? We're all doing it. Every. Single. One of us. 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

But today? Today we chose something different.

🌬️ We moved stagnant energy through Qi Gong
🎶 We surrendered to a sound bath that vibrated straight to the soul
🧘 We sat in stillness (yes, us — STILL) with a beautiful meditation practice
💚 We learned from the brilliant Dr. Rupa Salwan about what it truly means to listen to your body, mind & spirit through the lens of naturopathic medicine

And then came the Q&A — and oh, did the floodgates open. 😄

Sleepless nights? Check. Mental tabs that never close? Absolutely. The identity crisis that comes from not working on a Sunday? Been there. We laughed, we nodded, we maybe teared up a little (no one's naming names).

Because here's the truth: accountability, mentorship and balance aren't soft skills — they're your SURVIVAL SKILLS as a business owner. And finding your people — your people who GET IT — is everything.
