As our harvest season has officially been wrapped up, it’s time for a bit of rest!
The rest isn't for us humans though, it’s for the plants we just harvested. Those wild blueberry plants will be taking a year off.
At the end of each harvest season, our crop fields are mowed, removing next years fruit buds, allowing these plants to take a break from fruit production and focus on the health of the plant. This 24 month, alternate year, harvest cycle for all of our fields, is demonstrated in this timelapse video. Watching carefully, you will see the beauty of each season, and each stage of the blueberry bud growing bigger, turning into a blossom and ultimately into our magnificent wild blueberries! 🫐🫐🫐

This project was completed by Amber Leary of Wildflower Studios over the 2-year growth period. The video consists of approximately 1600 photos edited together to create the timelapse effect. A total of 68 hours were spent in the field and another 107 hours of editing were invested to make this video. All that work was worth it to share a small glimpse into the incredible journey of a wild blueberry, with all of our customers 💙
