Do you think they’re actually asking you how to do a task again (hint: no, or probably not).

This person is trying to do a job and is asking you to notice their efforts to find out if they’re doing the task right.

Think about it… all of us need that tangible confidence boost when we ask out loud, “Am I doing this right?”

When the answer from your boss comes back as YES!….that means everything.

See? They’re asking you to notice. They’re asking you to notice.

They could also be genuinely asking if they’re doing something right and here’s your chance to say, “Show me,” or, “Let’s take a look.” Or let’s take a look.

Either way, in seconds, you can give them feedback about how they’re doing. Do they have it right? Do they have it almost right and simply need your input, direction or a reminder? Or is it an Actually…

I teach my clients what work to notice and how so that good work gets repeated, and that you and your staff members can move through your day confidently.

PS. Your other option is not to do this and keep letting this staff person guess if what they’re doing is right or if they’re doing it how you asked.

Do this and notice what happens.

Do you think they’re actually asking you how to do a task again (hint: no, or probably not).

Their person is trying to do a job and asking you to notice where seeking appropriate attention to find out if they’re doing the task right.

Think about it… all of us need that tangible confidence boost when we ask out loud, am I doing this right?

No matter how politely and apologetically you ask your patient to move their appointment, it’s a big strike against you.

Of course there’s exceptions booked by that I mean less than once every couple of years.

More than that at your committing the kiss of death… meeting, giving your patient a valid reason to not come back and see you and worse to tell others that no matter how beautiful your clinic is and what an awesome service provider you are that you cancelled and moved their last appointment.

And, asking anyone in your office to move a patient on your behalf is one of the most stressful things that they’re asked to do in their job. (front desk and admin… you can privately DM me. I know. 😢)

Moving patients appointments on short notice which can be even 2 to 3 weeks out is not okay.

It’s a major sign that you and your Clinic aren’t looking ahead and planning ahead.

I teach all my clients a simple Pre-planning process that allows you and your Clinic to look ahead in detail for the next two weeks and bigger picture for the next few months.

It works because it’s simple, it follows a clear checklist so you don’t miss things you’re not even sure you were supposed to be looking for and it helps my clients fill their schedules on short notice in case what they find when they look is a lot of empty spots.

If no one ever showed you how to have this kind of look-ahead routine, let me know and I’ll fill you in.

PS. Don’t worry that this is some rigid process that feels like math homework. I promise you it’s not.

In fact, my clients have adopted this process to their own office, needs and style of working. They take everything I do and make it better. 🤩❤️

QUESTION: Have you moved patients in the last 12 months?

A little behind-the-scenes…

These are my notes after sitting in your clinics observing consults.

Pages of them.

And here’s what I see again and again:

You’re talking too much.
And it’s costing you the “yes.”
Your patient didn’t come in for a lecture.
She came to talk about herself — her concerns, her fears, her goals, her budget.

When we fill the space with “tech talk”…
we lose her.

Because a confused patient doesn’t say yes.

This isn’t about knowing more.
You already know enough.
It’s about how you structure the consult.
That’s exactly what I teach inside The Art of Consultation: Consults That Convert®.

If you’re seeing fewer patients right now,
every single consult matters more than ever.

Let’s make them count.

Comment “CONVERSION” and I’ll send you the training details.

See you inside.

You think $100 is expensive?

But what’s one walkaway consult actually costing you…
this week, this month, this year?

It’s not about special words or tricks…
It’s about having a structure your team can actually use.

Because when your consults convert, everything changes.
Fewer patients… more revenue… and a business that finally feels predictable.

This is exactly what I teach inside The Art of Consultation: Consults That Convert®.

Comment “CONVERSION” and I’ll send you the training details.

See you March 30!
