Business Wide View wants to connect with AgTech enterprises and startups to learn more about the technologies you are building and how they can benefit farms and ranches across Alberta.

We also want to connect with farmers and ranchers in Alberta and across the Prairies to hear your perspectives on technology and explore opportunities for TrialOps and validation. At the same time, BWV continues to foster dialogue across sectors, including government, nonprofit organizations, and industry partners connected to agriculture and food security.

If you are part of one or more of these sectors, scan the QR code and subscribe.

Business Wide View is preparing a new season of events created to bring people closer to the land, the producers, and the real opportunities shaping agriculture in Alberta. More than gatherings, these experiences are designed to connect farmers, ranchers, innovators, and visitors with practical solutions for agricultural challenges while opening the gates to authentic ranch and farm life in Western Canada.

Our 2026 event season will begin during Alberta Open Farm Days on August 15 and 16, in partnership with farmers and ranchers across the corridor linking Edmonton, Bon Accord, Onoway, Mayerthorpe, and Yellowhead County. Throughout the season, participants will be invited to step into the everyday reality of rural Alberta through agtech validation presentations, cattle exhibitions, TrialOps research immersions, professional upskilling workshops, digital agriculture conversations, and authentic culinary experiences rooted in the region. From the dark skies of the Prairies to horseback riding in the foothills, each event will offer a chance to experience the strength, innovation, and character of agriculture in a more meaningful way.

This is an invitation to discover the people, places, and ideas that are helping shape the future of rural and remote Alberta.

Business Wide View is already collecting historical soil sample data from Canada and Brazil, and we are in conversations with China to expand this work further.

Our goal is to better understand soil conditions, management practices, and productivity patterns over the past 40 years. In partnership with the University of Alberta, Business Wide View is helping manage this data to support the development of an AI dashboard focused on soil health and pasture management.

We are also preparing to collaborate with a Canadian sensor enterprise from Saskatchewan to strengthen the value of this made in Canada initiative. If you are a farmer or rancher and want to share your story, your challenges, your wins, your goals, or your soil management practices, scan the QR code and let’s connect.

Business Wide View recorded several podcast interviews in 2022 and 2023, and now we are returning with new programming built by farmers and ranchers for farmers and ranchers.

In collaboration with the Strong Farm & Rural Shores initiative, BWV is relaunching its podcast to explore smart farms and ranches, rural development strategies, agritourism, and economic growth across Alberta and the Prairies. We are also preparing weekly content for the BWV AgChannel on YouTube and live sessions through the new BWV platform.

This new content stream is being designed to respond to the needs of our agricultural market while sharing practical knowledge and ideas that support the future of agriculture in Canada and beyond.

Business Wide View is currently testing 10 different technologies at HU Ranches in Whitecourt and 43 Equine & Mechanicals in Mayerthorpe.

These technologies focus on water management, soil health, pasture management, farm infrastructure, connectivity, animal health, and data management. We are also preparing events to showcase these technologies and share field validation results with farmers and ranchers across Alberta and Canada.

All of these solutions come from Canadian and Alberta based technology enterprises. We are proud to support Canadian innovation and believe Canadian technology deserves stronger opportunities at home and abroad.

If you have an innovative idea or a prototype that needs to be tested on real farms and ranches, scan the QR code and let us add value to your project.

Business Wide View is leading a Trade Mission from Alberta to Brazil from April 24 to May 1, 2026.

Together with FarmFair International () and we will conduct technical visits and strategic meetings at EXPOZEBU (.pmgz), AGRISHOW (), and with other organizations, farms, and ranches. Led by .xavier, President of Business Wide View and CEO of @exagroupcanada, this mission will create space to listen, learn, share opportunities, and strengthen the connection between Alberta and the Brazilian market.

We are also inviting Brazilian farmers and ranchers to visit Alberta and discover strong synergies for trade, innovation, agritourism and rural economic growth. By building trusted international relationships, Business Wide View is helping accelerate the adoption of Canadian agricultural goods and technologies while contributing to broader economic development goals in Alberta and Canada.

Business Wide View was built by fourth and fifth generation ranchers in Alberta. BJ Fuchs and Skyler Vander Velde, father and daughter, are visionary ranchers whose deep connection with farm and ranch communities helped bring this platform to life.

Since 2022, Business Wide View has been building a strong producer network and conducting trial operations on working land to validate new technologies in real conditions. Our goal is to help farmers and ranchers cut through the technology noise and focus on efficiency, practicality, and return on investment.

Today, Business Wide View is market and export ready. Our network includes producers, agtech innovators, agricultural organizations, government departments, educational institutions, and investors. We are building opportunities that support food security for our families and for the world.
