බොහෝ ජාත්‍යන්තර සිසුන්ගේ Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) අයදුම්පත් ප්‍රතික්ෂේප වී ඇති අතර, ඒ හේතුවෙන් ඔවුන් උද්ඝෝෂණවල නිරත වෙමින් සිටිති.

අගමැති මාර්ක් කාර්නි සහ ඇල්බර්ටා ප්‍රිමියර් ඩැනියෙල් ස්මිත් පැවසුවේ, PGWP සඳහා සුදුසුකම් නොමැති නම් සහ කැනඩාවේ රැඳී සිටීමට නීත්‍යානුකූල තත්ත්වයක් නොමැති නම්, කැනඩාවෙන් පිටව යා යුතු බවයි.

Changes to US Green Card applications process.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has now implemented a significant policy change affecting green card applicants. Under Policy Memorandum PM-602-0199, issued on May 21, 2026 and effective immediately, USCIS has instructed officers to treat adjustment of status as an extraordinary discretionary benefit rather than the ordinary path to permanent residence. As a result, many foreign nationals who were previously able to complete their green card process from within the United States may now be expected to pursue consular processing and attend their immigrant visa interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate in their country of nationality or legal residence, unless there are compelling reasons to process the case in the U.S. Although this policy has been in effect for nearly two months, its practical impact is now becoming increasingly apparent for applicants, employers, and immigration professionals as cases are adjudicated under the new guidance.
