Here’s what you’re going to do during your baby’s awake window 👇🏼
1️⃣ First, after they wake up, you’re going to offer your little one a full feeding. At this age, a full feeding is likely going to take 20-30 minutes.
2️⃣ If the feeding took longer, they may be ready to sleep again, but if not, you may have a few minutes of awake time! Stare into their eyes, talk to them, or do a few minutes of tummy time (Baby laying on your chest counts as tummy time!).
3️⃣ It’s now time for a diaper change! Give your little one a fresh diaper, swaddle them up, and lay them down for a nap. It’s been about an hour since they woke up, so it’s time to sleep again!
Follow this routine throughout the day to help ensure full feedings AND quality naps, preventing overtiredness and promoting sleep at night.
You’ve got this, mama!
