🇨🇦 DISCOVER CANADA 🇨🇦

Canada is known as a strong, free, and diverse nation built on shared values like democracy, respect, and equality.

👥 Founding Peoples
Canada’s identity comes from three main groups: Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis), French, and British. Indigenous peoples were the first inhabitants and continue to play an important role in shaping the country today.

🌍 Unity in Diversity
Canada is a multicultural country where people from different backgrounds, cultures, and religions live together in peace while maintaining their unique identities.

🗣 Languages & Culture
English and French are the official languages, reflecting the country’s history. Many other languages and cultures also contribute to Canada’s rich society.

🤝 Shared Values
Canadians value freedom, rule of law, hard work, and mutual respect. Newcomers are encouraged to embrace these principles while contributing to the country’s growth.

✨ A Nation of Immigrants
For over 200 years, immigrants from around the world have helped build Canada into the diverse and welcoming country it is today.

Canada is more than a place—it’s a community shaped by diversity, history, and shared values. 🇨🇦

🇨🇦 Canada has introduced new rules on who can work without a work permit, focusing on business visitors entering the country. 🇨🇦

The updated guidelines clarify that the common examples of eligible activities are not limited—meaning more types of short-term business activities may qualify for exemption, as long as they meet the criteria.

Business visitors can still work in Canada without a permit if their activities are international in scope and they are not entering the local labor market. This pathway remains one of the fastest ways to legally work in Canada for short-term purposes.

However, immigration officers will carefully assess each case, and even minor criminal records could affect entry.

📌 Bottom line: Canada is making it clearer (and slightly more flexible) for business visitors to work without a permit—but eligibility still depends on meeting strict conditions.

🇨🇦 Canada’s immigration backlog has dropped below 1 million for the first time since October 2025, now sitting at around 990,300 applications. This improvement is mainly due to faster processing and a decrease in work permit backlogs, which fell from 46% to 38%.

Overall application numbers also declined, with IRCC reducing its total inventory and processing over 1.1 million applications within standard timelines.

However, not all areas improved—study permit backlogs surged to 50%, and visitor visa delays remain high. Meanwhile, Express Entry and some PNP applications continue to see better processing times.

📌 Bottom line: While Canada is making progress in reducing delays—especially for work permits—some categories like study permits are still facing significant backlogs.

🇨🇦Canada clarifies citizenship test rules 🇨🇦

Canada’s immigration department has updated the rules for the Canadian citizenship test. The online self-administered test is now the default format, giving applicants 45 minutes to answer 20 questions, with a passing score of 15 correct answers.

Applicants will now have up to three attempts to pass the test before being referred to a knowledge hearing. While online testing is standard, in-person or Microsoft Teams tests may still be used in certain cases, such as technical issues or accommodation needs.

The citizenship test remains a key requirement for permanent residents aged 18–54 applying to become Canadian citizens.

🇨🇦 Want to improve your CELPIP Writing score? ✍️

The CELPIP Writing Test can be challenging, but using the right strategies can make a big difference. Experts suggest practicing typing on a computer, carefully understanding the writing prompt, and organizing your ideas clearly before you start writing. Using a variety of vocabulary and grammar, keeping an eye on the word count, and managing your time effectively are also important for a strong response. Finally, always review your work before submitting to catch spelling or grammar mistakes.

With consistent practice and the right preparation, test takers can build confidence and perform better on exam day.

🇨🇦 Canada’s Express Entry Latest Round — March 2, 2026 ✨

📌 Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) just held the 11th Express Entry draw of the year!
➡️ This round was specifically for candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

🔹 A total of 264 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued.
🔹 The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score needed was 710.
🔹 To qualify, candidates had to have submitted their Express Entry profile before August 7, 2025.

🏅 PNP candidates remain a priority — having a provincial nomination gives a huge boost to your CRS score, almost guaranteeing an ITA.

📊 So far in 2026, IRCC has been busy with draws targeting categories like French-language speakers, Canadian Experience Class, healthcare professionals and more.
