I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
“Because someone bumped into me!!!”
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.😜
Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It’s easy to fake it until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what’s in my cup?” When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let’s work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; kindness, gentleness and love for others.

This really caused a stir in my heart after posting it 7 years ago. Please read to the end.
YOU TOOK MY PARKING SPACE AT CHURCH
This should wake us up.*
*One day, a man visited a church, He got there early, parked his car and got out. Another car pulled up near the driver got out and said, " I always park there!
You took my place!"* *The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That ' s my seat! You took my place!" The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome but said nothing.
After Sunday School, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, " That's where I always sit! You took my place!" The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still He said nothing.
Later, as the congregation prayed for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood up, and his appearance changed. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, "What happened to you?" The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from his eye, "I took your place.."
When you receive this, say a prayer.. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached. This is powerful. Just send this to four people and see what happens.. Maybe, just maybe, we can get the world to start thinking of who took our place..
