Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Corporation. Helping Albertans bring ’em into the bottle depot since 1995. ♻️

For more than 25 years, Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Corporation (ABCRC) has been the approved Collection System Agent for beverage containers in Alberta. ABCRC is currently the largest self-sustaining deposit-based beverage container collection system in Canada, based on the number of material types and the quantity of beverage containers recovered. ABCRC’s commitment to operating one of the most innovative and sustainable beverage container recycling programs in North America is the driving force behind our ongoing high return rates.

Blimey! That’s a lot of buses. 🧐

And, more importantly, that’s a lot of material diverted from landfills. Cheers, Alberta!

What exactly is a “circular economy”?

It’s a model that is designed to keep materials in use for as long as possible, reducing waste and the impact on the environment.

When you recycle plastic beverage containers, you're helping keep valuable materials in circulation so they can become new bottles again and again. ♻️

Recycling, but make it aesthetic. ✨

✔ Repurpose a bin or box
✔ Put in a plastic liner/bag
✔ Add any decals/flourishes

And voilà! A dedicated recycling station to keep your empties organized until you can return them.

Organization or community group? Be sure to take advantage of our bin program by heading to abcrc.com/programs.

Listening, learning, and reflecting. 🧡

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day is a time for all of us to honour the victims, survivors, and communities impacted by Canada’s residential school system.

Let’s all continue to work toward a better Alberta for generations to come.

Every beverage carton you recycle is one less headed to the landfill. ♻️

Bottle depots ➡️ ABCRC’s facilities ➡️ end markets.

Balance is important in life, and especially when it comes to choosing end markets. That’s just one way we’re prioritizing positive environmental impacts.

Put on your comfort show and get cozy. 🛋️

Just remember to tuck in your empty beverage containers and take them to the depot — when you finally leave the house, that is.
