I don’t expect motivation to get me to the gym.

I don’t expect motivation to keep my bookkeeping current.

And I definitely don’t expect motivation to completely change how I eat.

That’s why systems matter.

My coach gave me a system.

I use systems with my clients.

Because systems remove decision fatigue.

When the process is clear, consistency becomes much easier.

Whether you’re organizing your finances or improving your health…

The goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is repeatability.

What system has made the biggest difference in your life?

This week I started working with a physique coach.

One thing struck me almost immediately.

We didn’t start by trying to fix everything.

We started by understanding where I am today - the activities, the workouts, the food, the sleep.

That’s exactly how I approach bookkeeping.

Before you can improve your cash flow…
Before you can reduce expenses…
Before you can grow…

You have to know your starting point.

Healthy businesses and healthy bodies both begin with awareness—not assumptions.

The numbers aren’t there to judge you.

They’re there to guide your next step.

Where are you avoiding looking at the numbers—in your business or your health?

Three years.

More than 400 CrossFit workouts.

And yet… that stubborn midsection is still hanging on for dear life. 😂

After making three humans, I know my body isn’t the same. But after months of consuming endless fitness content, trying different approaches, and feeling completely overwhelmed, I realized something.

When the going gets tough, the tough go back to basics. 🦾🦾

So instead of trying to figure it all out myself, I brought in reinforcements. I hired a physique coach. Jerome @ Jerome Tan | Transformation Coach has his work cut out for him!! 🤭

Because sometimes you don’t need more information.
You need a plan.
You need a system.
And you need someone who knows what they’re doing.

Funny enough… that’s exactly how I approach bookkeeping.

Business owners spend hours watching YouTube videos, downloading spreadsheets, and trying to piece everything together themselves. By the time they reach out, they’re overwhelmed and unsure where to start.

That’s why I created my DIY Bookkeeping Package.

Not to do the work for you—but to give you the right foundation, the right process, and the confidence to manage your books without the guesswork.

Whether it’s building a stronger body or a stronger business, the basics win every time.

Almost three years of lifting has taught me that progress rarely feels dramatic while it’s happening.

Most weeks, it looks like adding five pounds. Fixing one part of the movement. Showing up even when the last session didn’t go the way I wanted.

Then one day, I realize I’m lifting weight I couldn’t touch six months ago.

Business works the same way.

One receipt uploaded.
One transaction categorized.
One process cleaned up.
One difficult decision finally made.

None of it looks transformational on its own.

But small actions, repeated consistently, become strength.

The mountain ahead can feel enormous when you stare at the summit. It becomes manageable when you focus on the next step.

This week, I’m focusing on the next rep.

What’s one small step you’re taking in your business this week? Tell me in the comments.

205 Lbs Slipped Away — Here’s What I Learned

I missed my deadlift goal by 5 lbs.

First CrossFit competition. 205 lbs on the bar. I got it off the floor. And then I didn’t.

Here’s what I realized after: that lift told me more than hitting it ever would have.

Now I know exactly what 205 feels like in my hands. Where my grip starts to fade. What my body does when it’s fighting the weight.

That’s data I didn’t have before.

Same thing happens with your books. When you only look at the numbers once a year at tax time, you’re walking into the gym cold and loading 205 on the bar. No reps. No tracking. Just hoping.

But when you keep your books monthly? You see exactly where things slip. You catch the small misses before they compound into big ones. You adjust in real time instead of scrambling in April.

The visibility comes from the system. Tracking all the ins and outs. Every month. Not just when someone asks for the numbers.

The barbell doesn’t care about your excuses. Neither do your books.

Both will tell you exactly where you are if you’re paying attention.

195 is my 1 rep max right now. 200 is next. 💜🦾

Half the year is done. Want to know where your books actually stand? I wrote a quick guide on what to check right now. Link in bio. 👆

Every April, same story. 😅

Digging up receipts from January. Sending your accountant a prayer instead of proper records. Filing taxes and just... hoping for the best.

Then May 1st hits and everyone goes "okay, next year will be different."

(It's never different. Unless something actually changes.)

The issue was never the deadline, it's the 11 months nobody paid attention.

Anyway. You've almost made it. 🍁
