The role:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Recruiter provides majority of their support in the recruiting needs of the organization. In addition, they also provide advice, guidance, and hands-on support to all levels of the company on a broad range of HR services and assists with special HR projects as needed. Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Selection:
• Initiate in intake meetings to fully understand the role requirements and core competencies, how those fit with business objectives, and build interview kits to support the selection process.
• Full cycle recruitment, screening, assessment, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
• Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative recruiting strategies to attract and retain quality candidates
• Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
• Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for each position and meet competitive hiring goals and expectations
• Stay active with current job boards, social networks, and platforms to find talent, and plan, create and release job descriptions
• Participate in interviews as required, counsel and advise hiring managers
• Select the most qualified candidates and provide detailed feedback to hiring managers
• Work with third-party recruitment partner in the selection of top talent
• Administer pre-employment testing, prepare offer packages, and conduct new hire onboarding
• Maintain weekly recruitment reports
• Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Assist with preparing offer letters and employee onboarding
HR & Benefits Administration
• Participate in the administration of the group insurance and RRSP as required
• Manage monthly benefit report
• Establish effective relationships at all levels based on trust, experience and credibility by providing front-line HR consultation, advice and guidance
• Conduct compensation research and prepare ad hoc compensation reports as required
• Conduct exit interviews and facilitate the off-boarding process
• Assist with creating, updating job descriptions for all positions with the company
• As guided by the Manager, HR, supports annual performance management process (goal setting, coaching, etc.) and assists with tracking and reporting as required.
• Assisting the Manager, HR on special projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
• Bachelors’ degree, diploma or certificate in human resources
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• CPHR designation is considered an asset
• Proven recruitment experience in-house recruiting experience with an extensive understanding of how to navigate within an organization to successfully make quality hires without negatively impacting other stakeholder groups.
• A Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience in recruitment, and in other area of Human Resources
