TIME IS RUNNING OUT! You must act fast if you are a TFW whose Work Permit expires within a year. Suppose your workplace is located in a Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) with an unemployment rate of 6% and above; your work permit will NOT likely be renewed if your employer DOES NOT reclassify your position to a high-wage position with a minimum salary of the provincial high-wage level plus 20%. "Effective November 8, candidates applying through the high-wage stream of the TFWP will need to earn hourly salaries at least 20% higher than the median wage for their position relative to where they work to be eligible." For example, in Alberta, the high wage rate is $29.50. To qualify for the high-wage position, an extra 20% will have to be added, equivalent to $5.90, making it a total of $35.40 per hour. Many employers will need more money to afford this rate, especially in the fast food business. I already lost one big account because of this. If you are in this situation, you can hunt early. CMAs (cities) with less than 6% unemployment rate are HALIFAX, NS, MONCTON, NB, SAINT JOHN, NB, SAGUENAY, BELLEVILLE, ON, PETERBOROUGH, ON, GUELPH, ON, BARRIE, ON, GREATER SUDBURY, ON, THUNDER BAY, ON, SASKATOON, SK, LETHBRIDGE, AB, KELOWNA, BC, AND VICTORIA, BC. A chance meeting. On March 2022, this lady and her two young daughters became my clients through the International Study program in Saskatchewan. Two years and a half after, our paths crossed at Cross Iron Mills, a shopping mall adjacent to Calgary. It was our first time to meet in person. And it was a very pleasant encounter for both of us. HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY, CANADA! There are times that we forget to recognize and realize the bountiful blessings Canada has provided and offered to us. My family and I can’t thank you enough for allowing us to call you home and, in the process, enjoy the many privileges made available to us. While the entire journey was a bit rough, it was, in the end, worth the ride. International Students (IS) are still welcome in Canada. The best route for a mature IS with a family is an MBA program from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI). The accompanying spouse can apply for an Open Work Permit (OWP) while their dependents can attend school for free, either in public or catholic schools of their choice. IS can still work 20 hours weekly and perform full-time jobs during regularly scheduled school breaks. I highly recommend the International Business University (IBU) in Toronto, ON. You may check their website at https://ibu.ca/. It is considered Ontario's first next-generation business university. Filipino students are exempted from IELTS or CELPIP until October 31, 2024. The average gross tuition per year is about $20K. IS with a Master's degree are in demand in Ontario with an entry-level salary between $70K to $80K yearly plus benefits. It’s the 8th of October once more. Today, 40 years ago, my first born Chino Fileo was born. I will never get tired of remembering the many happy moments spent with him from that day until today. A son is a father’s heir to perpetuate the family’s name. My hope remains high that one day this is bound to happen. Happy happy bday Chino and remain a good person as you are. To All: Thank you for your congratulatory messages. We post on FB not to brag but to share important milestones in life. Owning and driving a truck in Alberta is common due to its climate. Snow comes as early as October and sometimes last until April. A larger vehicle with better road traction is safer to drive during snowy weather. For peace of mind and driving comfort F150 suits my family’s needs. Again, gratitude to all! CHEERS!

In God's perfect time! This case will be in its third year on October 3, 2024. It has been the longest and one of the most exasperating files I have ever handled, almost to the brink of refusal due to technicalities. We strongly advocated for and on behalf of the client, citing solid arguments for the client's defense. Hard work and perseverance pay. Finally, the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and Canadian visas have been issued to this elderly couple, and they will soon be joining their eldest son here in Calgary. Permanent residence status will be conferred to them upon entry to Canada. Congratulations to the family, and MYE Global is a proud partner in your Canadian journey! Cheers

The other day, I was so down and frustrated with myself due to an oversight on one of my files. I was up at 3 a.m. going through my options. I decided to be transparent and honest with my client and take full responsibility. The client was unhappy but decided to proceed with the application with me. We cleared the air and accepted my sincere apologies.
Today is another day, and what a morning it is! Curious and nervous, I opened the email from Service Canada regarding another client's application for a Labor Market Impact Assessment, commonly known as LMIA. The application was submitted on July 10, 2023, under the Permanent Residence Stream. This type of LMIA usually takes 80 business days to process. And what a big surprise!
The application was approved in thirteen (13) calendar days. Prayers are powerful tools to rely upon. I say that with conviction because every time I make a submission, I say a short prayer,
manifesting a positive result. It gets me thinking, why do I deserve this heavenly assistance? I may not get the answer, but all I know is that "If God is for us, who will be against us", Romans 8:31. Thank you, Lord!

Never give up! Brigz works as a cook at Boston Pizza in Surrey BC. We made our first attempt to bring his lovely partner Nerizza to Canada but failed. There are two sides of an application, approval or refusal. I always emphasize to clients that I do not guarantee results, whatever it is. What I guarantee is to work for their best interest and to give me their full trust and confidence. Afterall, this is a team effort. We made our second attempt using a different strategy.
