One of Canada’s most influential artists, Jana Sterbak, has had a significant impact on contemporary art, artists, and audiences for almost 50 years.

This large-scale retrospective presents a comprehensive overview of Sterbak’s work, celebrating her pivotal contributions to art history and offering a rare opportunity to experience her work first hand.

"Dimensions of Intimacy" features innovative early work that pushes material and sculptural norms, wearable structures that merge object with performance, significant video and film work, as well as rarely exhibited artist editions, photographs, and drawings from Sterbak’s own collection.

One of Canada’s most influential artists, Jana Sterbak, has had a significant impact on contemporary art, artists, and audiences for almost 50 years.

🥰 Join a free tour of the Atlantic Art Block Art Collection as collected by Esker Foundation founders Jim & Sue Hill + a tour of the Project Space exhibition by Megan Feniak on Sunday 4 May at 1pm.

Led by Naomi Potter Director/Curator of Esker Foundation.

🤩 Please note that the 4th floor Esker Foundation galleries are closed for installation of our Spring/Summer exhibitions- so they will not be open to the public this weekend. Opening reception is on Friday 23 May, 6-9pm.

We are pleased to continue to offer complimentary parking while you visit to the Esker!

Complimentary parking for 90 minutes is available in our building’s underground parkade and the south surface parking lots, both are accessed at the rear of our building.

📍After parking, please PROCEED DIRECTLY to the gallery on the 4th floor to register your license plate number.📍

If you are attending a program at Esker, complimentary parking is available for the duration of the program, please ask at the front desk on arrival.

♿ There continues to be accessible surface parking spaces directly across from the rear entrance to our building, and in the underground parkade in close proximity to the elevators, to the 4th floor. ♿

🚲 Bicycle locking posts can also be found in three places, south, north and east sides of the building. 🚲
