WCD was honoured to be a Step Sponsor for the Strides for Caregivers Walk today, supporting the incredible work of the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation.

Our team members in Calgary and Edmonton joined the walk to help raise awareness and funds for the more than 8 million family caregivers across Canada who give their time, energy, and compassion to care for others.

At WCD, community connection is at the heart of who we are. We’re proud of our long history working with Suncor and Petro-Canada and are inspired to support their charitable initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives.

We are incredibly proud to recognize a truly special honour for our Chairman & Company Ambassador, George Brookman.

On Tuesday, July 15, George was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal by Her Honour Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta. The medal recognizes George’s outstanding service through his work with the Canadian Global Affairs Institute.

George’s leadership helped shape WCD into the values-driven, community-minded company we are today. His dedication to public service and to the community that surrounds us continues to inspire our team and those around him. Congratulations, George. Thank you for all you do.
