Commissionaires Southern Alberta is proud to recognize Jaspreet Badesha and Sumeet Kumar for receiving Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding performance while serving in the Security Operations Centre (SOC) at YYC Calgary International Airport.

In the early morning hours of May 26, Jaspreet and Sumeet demonstrated exceptional vigilance, teamwork, and professionalism when they identified suspicious activity in an airport parking area. Using CCTV and maintaining constant communication with responding partners, they provided timely, accurate updates that assisted the Calgary Police Service in safely locating and apprehending a suspect. They also ensured all relevant video evidence was preserved to support the investigation. Their quick thinking, attention to detail, and calm response under pressure earned praise from both airport partners and law enforcement. This event proves how crucial Security Operations are to the safety and security of the airport community.

Congratulations, Jaspreet and Sumeet, on this well-deserved recognition. Your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence make us proud to have you on the team.

Yesterday, in celebration of McHappy Day our HQ gathered together and raised money for our local Ronald McDonald House, one of our clients in Calgary.

Client Service Manager, Rebecca Ingram is pictured here presenting our donation to volunteer Janice Kirkland.

Janice has been a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House for over 10 years, and recently completed 1000 hours of service. Volunteering at such an important facility has restored Janice's faith in humanity with the acts of service, kindness, and magic that she sees everyday.

The Ronald McDonald House is largely run by volunteers from the community, and the services they provide are so vital to the families that need them.

We are so appreciative of all the work they do for our community in Calgary, and felt very privileged to play a small part in their McHappy Day celebrations.

It's McHappy Day across Canada!

Today, our HQ team got into the spirit, enjoying a McDonald's lunch together surrounded by the iconic red and yellow décor.

McHappy Day is a nationwide initiative by McDonald's Canada in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada—an organization that helps families stay close to their children while they receive critical medical care.

Across the country, Ronald McDonald House provides essential programs and services that remove barriers, keep families together, and support healing when it matters most.

Today, a portion of every menu item purchased at McDonald’s goes directly toward supporting these families.

As one of our sites here in Calgary, this is a meaningful opportunity for us to come together, raise awareness, and show our support for families who rely on these vital services.

If you haven’t already, consider stopping by your local McDonald’s today to make a difference.

At Commissionaires Southern Alberta, we pride ourselves in employing an exceptional guard force that embody professionalism. Many of our guards come from backgrounds in the military and the RCMP, with skills that translate across various fields and industries.

Matti Broderson is a prime example of the caliber of our guard force as he brings a strong foundation of service and discipline to his role. After serving full-time in the military, he is now pursuing a degree in forensic science while continuing part-time military service while working with the Commissionaires.

He regularly works with the public in his role, developing strong communication and interpersonal skills that will support his future ambitions in law enforcement or law school.

Matti is building toward a future rooted in service, leadership, and justice, and we are proud to be a part of his journey.
