Your Road, Your Way

Your Road, Your Way A place to share my essence of "appreciation" and invite others to explore their own potential power from within.

Coaching is an evolving and ever expanding profession which is largely mis-understood. As a certified professional Core Alignment Coach I will share my understandings with anyone who is interested and invite you to ask questions about who I am, what I do and how we are "being", affects everything around us. Every turn in your road is a new opportunity to touch the world around you in a more meaningful and personal way.

I like suggest to people that they regularly examine their vocabulary and replace negative words and phrases with positive ones. Try it and see what a difference it makes to how you perceive a situation and how others react to what you’re saying.

Words are as powerful as swords. Your words can be most useful, inspirational and helpful. When used in a negative way, they can cut to the heart. Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative energy that you put out into the universe will multiply when it returns to you. Choose your words wisely

In a world that often feels divided, small acts of kindness can have an incredible impact. A smile, an act of generosity or a kind word ripples outward. Laughter lightens a room and lifts the spirit. An unexpected act of kindness lasts the entire day. It makes the giver and the receiver feel good. Share your kindness today

Connection and compassion are everything.

Connection and compassion are everything.

The healing of our present woundedness may lie in recognizing and reclaiming the capacity we have to heal each other, the enormous power in the simplest of human relationships: the strength of a touch, the blessing of forgiveness, the grace of someone else taking you just as you are and finding in you an unsuspected goodness. Everyone alive has suffered. It is the wisdom gained from our wounds and from our own experiences of suffering that makes us able to heal. Becoming expert has turned out to be less important than remembering and trusting the wholeness in myself and everyone else. Expertise cures, but wounded people can best be healed by other wounded people. Only other wounded people can understand what is needed, for the healing of suffering is compassion, not expertise.

One of the easiest things we can do to live a happier life is start each day with gratitude. 🙏

The more we learn to return thanks, the more space we make for new unexpected blessings to appear in our lives.
Every time we show gratitude for the millions of ways we are blessed daily, we send our energy into the unseen world of the Dream Weave, and those threads of gratitude strengthen our spiritual connections. The resulting fabric of trust and faith is the safety net that catches us when we go through the Dark Night of the Soul, protecting us against the internal enemy of victim thinking.
Opportunity is normally the last thing we think about when we are in crisis, but that is one gift that is always being given. We are given the opportunity to grow, to learn how strong we really are, to see the value of loving support, to become more sensitive to the pain of others, to share our burdens with others, instead of thinking we are always alone, and to ultimately trust that we will be better people on the other side of our present, darkened passage through life.

Happy Solstice everyone. Take the time to take advantage of the opportunities the winter months have to offer and enjoy the anticipation of longer days as spring approaches!

Solstice Blessings!
"There is a tendency to want to hurry from autumn to spring, to avoid the long dark days that winter brings. Many people do not like constant days bereft of light and months filled with colder temperatures. They struggle with the bleakness of land and the emptiness of trees. Their eyes and hearts seek colour. Their spirits tire of tasting the endless gray skies. There is great rejoicing in the thought that light and warmth will soon be filling more and more of each new day.
But winter darkness has a positive side to it. As we gather to celebrate the first turn from winter to spring, we are invited to recognise and honour the beauty in the often unwanted season of winter. Let us invite our hearts to be glad for the courage winter proclaims. Let us be grateful for the wisdom winter brings in teaching us about the need for withdrawal as an essential part of renewal. Let us also encourage our spirits as Earth prepares to come forth from this time of withdrawal into a season filled with light.
The winter solstice celebrates the return of hope to our land as our planet experiences the first slow turn towards greater daylight. Soon we will welcome the return of the sun and the coming of springtime. As we do do, let us remember and embrace the positive enriching aspects of winter's darkness. Pause now to sit in silence in the darkness of this space. Let this space be a safe enclosure of creative gestation for you."

To be happy in life one must be like the trees.

To be happy in life one must be like the trees.

As I started to picture the trees in the storm, the answer began to dawn on me. The trees in the storm don't try to stand up straight and tall and erect. They allow themselves to bend and be blown with the wind. They understand the power of letting go. Those trees and those branches that try too hard to stand up strong and straight are the ones that break.

Your life is a precious moment.

Your life is a precious moment.

We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity.
Life is eternal.
We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share.
This is a precious moment.
It is a little parenthesis in eternity.

The Pandemic Is a Portal
Our minds are still racing back and forth, longing for a return to “normality,” trying to stitch our future to our past and refusing to acknowledge the rupture. But the rupture exists. And in the midst of this terrible despair, it offers us a chance to rethink the doomsday machine we have built for ourselves. Nothing could be worse than a return to normality.
Historically, pandemics have forced humans to break with the past and imagine their world anew. This one is no different. It is a portal, a gateway between one world and the next.
We can choose to walk through it, dragging the carcasses of our prejudice and hatred, our avarice, our data banks and dead ideas, our dead rivers and smoky skies behind us. Or we can walk through lightly, with little luggage, ready to imagine another world. And ready to fight for it.

A good reminder of the power we hold within ourselves and that we are stronger than we think 😊

I prayed for change, so I changed my mind.
I prayed for guidance and learned to trust myself.
I prayed for happiness and realized I am not my ego.
I prayed for peace and learned to accept others unconditionally.
I prayed for abundance and realized my doubt kept it out.
I prayed for wealth and realized it is my health.
I prayed for a miracle and realized I am the miracle.
I prayed for a soul mate and realized I am the One.
I prayed for love and realized it’s always knocking, but I have to allow it in.
