I have pulled the RESP funds, we are ready to pay for year 4 of our daughter’s university.
But HOW you pay can make a difference! For us, we can pay for residence with a credit card to get points! 💃
But the tuition fees we can’t pay with a credit card.
Unless…
we use the Canadian Tire Triangle card and do it as a “Bill Pay.”

It is VERY rare that I make specific product recommendations. But this one is DIFFERENT! It’s the only one I know without fees that enables payment like this!

Of course this is only good advice if you:
Pay off your credit card
In full
On time
Every time!

I’m the same as you, I HATE having to call and negotiate for lower bills. Never any fun being on hold and transferred to loyalty departments and retention supervisors. We know the tricks, we just dislike the time and effort required.

But let me tell ya, working with clients I see a LOT of opportunity to reduce these bills. It’s not all about slash and cut and burn and no fun allowed. It’s about you aligning your spending and getting good VALUE.

I want YOU to use your dollars, either to spend on something cool or invest! If you can get the same service/coverage for $100 less per month, this can be MEANINGFUL money in YOUR pocket!

You may have been sold a savings account at the bank when you asked about a TFSA. Well, even those aren’t paying “high” interest! Please make use of the tax-freeness and get your money in your TFSA GROWING!

Max it out (eventually)
In investments (stock market returns higher than 2%!)
For retirement (compounding a long time!)

It’s okay if you haven’t maximized your TFSA in the past and it’s been “messy” with contributions and withdrawals. Going forward let’s get it set to work harder for you! 💪

Reminder if you’re as old as me, your contribution room could be up to $109,000 and if you’ve been contributing and investing this whole time it should be worth over $200,000! 🔥 This is the power!

Normally we don’t go quite so all-out with tours and events, but this is the way the last month has turned out for us!! Beyond the learning, wow-factor and entertainment, it’s also about who we enjoyed these adventures with!

1 Jade Elephant at Park96 was a big highlight because we know the bass player personally! Rocked it!
2 Hubby has wanted to see Sam Roberts for years!
3 He-Man was a surprise win for everyone in the family except the guy that knew anything about He-Man! 😆
4 Come From Away was so fantastic! I’m still listening to the soundtrack, and it still gets in my feels! ❤️
5 Big Muddy Outlaws tour (they hid stolen horses in the badlands of Sask) was neat to finally do with my parents
6 Bengough Bull Riding was a fun campground surprise adventure! $20 each, well spent!
7 David Lee Roth was STILL an amazing but cheesy showman! So many laughs and he was having his best day on that stage!
8 Billy Idol was the headliner and rocked it, and I learned to appreciate his guitar player’s musicianship
9 Passion Play at the Badlands Amphitheatre with the whole fam was hot and long but also good!
10 Snowbirds at the Red Deer Regional Airshow was fantastic! Also the fighter jets that rumbled our trailer!
11 Nate Bargatze was fun! Probably our last time at the Saddledome too!
13 No cost but honorary mention of the FREE Mother Nature show while camping in Sask!

How many of these have you seen? What would you want to add to this kind of eclectic mix of experiences!?

Phew! Now we need to go camping and get away from some crowds! 😉

We told absolutely nobody when it happened. 🤫🏡

Ten years ago, we were camping in BC with the kids. It was payday, and we had to drive our truck to get cell service. We were excited to make the call to the bank to get the exact dollar AND penny amount, to fully pay off our house! 🔥

No party, no announcement. Just me and my husband at the campfire, cheering to our FREEDOM! ❤️ Our home was 100% ours. 🤩

As a CPA, I’ll admit the math of paying it early wasn’t optimized. A spreadsheet says to invest that “extra” money instead. But as a financial coach, I know money is more than math. We love the cash flow freedom, AND our investments were already solid! 💃

When you’re looking for a financial coach, don’t just look for someone who reads the textbooks. Look for a coach who has actually DONE it. Someone who has executed the strategy, and built the type of life you want to live.

For a decade, I’ve lived the freedom I now help my clients build. 💪 Our mortgage payment funds have been redirected to travel. ✈️ We are enjoying our “rich life!” And last month we celebrated a decade mortgage free, camping again! (Funny, not even IN the house!! 😜)
