🕵🏾 So, how do you access this elusive sounding job market?

By networking.

Networking is a way to let people get to know vou and trust vou. When someone in their network mentions they're looking for someone with your expertise, they'll share your name.

In 2023 you can access opportunities both 🏘️ locally and 🌎 globally, so take your networking to the place that allows you to network with people in your local business community and beyond!

Linkedin gives us a variety of ways to network, and while posting great content can be a great way to network and stay top of mind, it's not for everyone.

As you build your network throughout your career, it's difficult to keep in regular contact with everyone in it. While nothing beats an annual lunch or a quarterly phone call/email, you're not going to do that with every single person in your network.

One way to reach as many people as possible efficiently is by creating regular content on LinkedIn. Posts, carousels, newsletters, articles – the options grow all the time! Pick one and commit to a schedule (e.g. posts 2x per week) and you're set.

You can access them actively or passively. Let's start with the easiest thing first, passively -- Keywords!

Put yourself in a recruiter's shoes for a moment. When they're looking for candidates for a job what do they do? They'll use search terms like city, industry, and skills.

So, while you're writing each area of your profile, include the keywords you know a recruiter or hiring manager, looking to fill the role you want to be in, will use in their LinkedIn search.

I’ve been partnering with .fashions for a year now and have learned about the company, its people and products. 

Aside: I’ve been approached by a few other fashion brands and have said, no thanks. Their brand messages emphasize “slimming” and “flattering” aka uninteresting things I don’t want to promote. 

Bellissima on the other hand is about 👗 fashion expressing our individuality and enjoyment. 

Last week, Bellissima hosted an event and invited me to put together an outfit. They generously gifted it to me and I’m sharing it with you ⬆️ here.
