Natural Twenty Astral-plane-walkers meets sultry-tunes-talkers Natural Twenty is a sultry groove band based in Calgary, Alberta.

They weave rumbling bass, dance beats, jazz harmonies, and nostalgic RnB melodies - into music that inspires foot tapping and dancing. Lyrically, their reflections on the self and relationships is backed with lush, hypnotic vocals. They draw influence from such contemporary acts like Tom Misch, Hiatus Kaiyote, The Internet, Frank Ocean, as well as decades of classic rock, blues, funk, hip-hop, an

d jazz. Frederick, Jason, and Robin, the core songwriters and band leaders have been playing music together for over a decade, playing in different outfits and genres. With what started as a blues rock band has evolved to what it is now. With the current cast of ensemble musicians, Rauth, Keath, Dylan, Siby, and Seyoung, their horns and synths only enhance their neo-funk & R&B sound! Natural Twenty is a dice roll landing on twenty. It is the best possible outcome, the luckiest roll, a relief – a Natural Twenty.

Mahika means “magic” in Tagalog and is our second EP to follow up Cantrips in 2022. This is a realization of our intended sound and style. It is a framework or template of our new musical tastes and intentions going forward.
