How did that happen?! 🥹❤️

Today our son turns 18!

It feels like just yesterday we were holding this little guy in our arms, and now he’s officially an adult and heading into a whole new chapter.

I’m so proud of the young man he has become. Watching your kids grow up is such a mix of emotions, excitement for what’s ahead, a little bit of “slow down!” and a whole lot of gratitude.

Today I’m especially grateful for the memories, the laughs, the adventures, and all the little moments that brought us here.

Did you know the first computer mouse was made of 𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝? 🖱️

Yep… WOOD! 😂

It was created back in 1964 and looked 𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 like the little mouse we use today.

And now we carry computers in our pockets, have video calls from pretty much anywhere, and can build a business from a laptop at our kitchen table.

Technology sure has come a long way! 🤯

It got me thinking…

Do you remember when we 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬? 😳

If we wanted to take pictures, we had to carry around a whole camera…sometimes in a HUGE camera case! 📸😂

Now?

We just pull our phone out of our pocket and we have a 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚, 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐭, 𝐆𝐏𝐒, 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜, 𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥, 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 right there.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the busy stuff — work, errands, laundry, schedules, and all the things that seem like they can’t wait.

But the truth is… 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭.

The walk can happen.
The adventure can happen.
The coffee with someone you love can happen.
The memories can happen.

And sometimes we just need to slow down long enough to actually enjoy them. ❤️

Today, I’m reminding myself to make time for the things, and the people, that matter most.

Because honestly… that’s often where a new idea begins.

Most people don’t wake up one morning thinking,

"𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑏𝑒 𝑓𝑢𝑛? 𝑆𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎 𝑏𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎 𝑤ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑛𝑐ℎ 𝑜𝑓 𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠!" 😂

Usually, there’s something behind it.

Maybe you want…

✨ More flexibility with your time
✨ More choices for your future
✨ The ability to build something of your own
✨ More freedom to enjoy the things that matter most to you

If you’re completely happy with everything exactly as it is… that’s fantastic! ❤️

But if there’s a gap between 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞, maybe that’s worth paying attention to.

The bigger question is…

𝐈𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?

Because staying where you are is comfortable.

Learning something new? Not always. 😅

But sometimes, the discomfort of staying exactly where you are becomes greater than the discomfort of trying something different.

And that’s when things can start to change.

So maybe the question isn’t:

"𝐷𝑜 𝐼 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑎𝑛 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠?”

Maybe it’s…
