This was a good memory ❤️
It’s all about the little things.
We are called in to help during a very difficult time in our clients lives. They could be dealing with the loss of a loved one, loss of space as they focus on downsizing, or learning to cope with an illness or new way of life.
They are depending on us to “carry some of the load,” while they can focus their energy elsewhere. Being vulnerable by sharing every inch of their home with us, while often opening up to us about their fears and anxieties. There are often tears of both joy and sadness, sighs of relief and so many moments shared.
We help them through “Acts of Service.” Giving them peace, by taking our time to not only go through it, but to find the pieces that retain memories, meaning and value.
An example is we open every card, envelope and file just incase. Even when we are told to recycle everything, we want to be sure nothing is forgotten. This week I found 3 birthday cards, over 15 years old with money inside. Not only did I put the money inside for them, but I left it in the card, so they would know where it came from. We put it aside for the family to review at a time when they are ready.
We want to be more than an “Estate Sale” company, the supportive friend we all need when the world just feels too heavy.
For us, It’s all about the little things, because for some, those are the big things.
