I’ve noticed a lot of people adding eggshells or veggie scraps directly to their gardens. It seems like an easy way to feed your plants, right? But here’s why it’s not the best idea:

❌ Why Not?

-Pests, pests, pests! Food scraps can attract uninvited guests like raccoons, squirrels, and even mice. Nobody wants a critter party in their garden! 🐾

-Breakdown takes time. Eggshells and veggie scraps don’t break down quickly when added straight to the soil. Your plants might not see any benefits for months (or longer).

-Unbalanced soil. Without proper decomposition, scraps can sit in the soil and even mess with its pH or nutrient balance.

✅ A Better Option: Compost them! A compost pile breaks down scraps properly, turning them into rich, plant-ready nutrients. If you’re set on using eggshells, crush or grind them into powder for quicker results.

Gardening is all about working smarter, not harder! Have you ever tried adding scraps to your garden? Let me know your experience below!
