Specific Accountabilities:
Manage overall day-to-day operations and functions for a small warehouse
Develops, implements, enforces, maintains and evaluates best practice policies, standards and procedures for all warehouse operations. Constantly evaluates for warehouse operations improvements by analyzing processes, work flow, manpower and space utilization.
Controls inventory levels by conducting monthly physical counts. Develops processes for inventory management.
Handles all incoming and outgoing shipments
Pick, pack and ship all orders including our 3PL shipments
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complies with all legal regulations.
Ensures items received by inspecting condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to packing list; noting discrepancies.
Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, Production, Planning, Sales and customers
Keeps track of quantity, stock levels, delivery times and transport costs.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints
Manage cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and costs and implement improvements
Requirements:
Must have previous experience managing a warehouse
Must have experience working with logistics partners, managing shipments and well as negotiating best costs.
Preferably has contacts with carriers
Preferably has experience with EDI
Must be able to work independently
Must be physically healthy and able to handle large boxes
Must be extremely dependable and reliable
Must be bondable
Must have references
