It's nearly December and it's time to think about next year's personal taxes 😱 is there anything you can do to maximize your return next year?? Here's some topics to explore:
-RRSPs - you have until the end of Feb to contribute for the 2023 year (you typically get back 25% of what you contribute)
-Income - check the government tax brackets for your income and where you're getting close to for your year to date. You may have some control over your tax rate
-Medical Expenses - everyone has an amount they need to spend on their medical expenses to get a tax break - maybe it's time for that extra expense
-Childrens fitness - we do get a tax break on what we pay for children's recreation so maybe time to sign up for that next class
-Start collecting receipts - you can start now then ask for investment, daycare, T slips etc as soon as Jan 1 to get a head start (your employer's due date is Feb 29 though)

Good luck with the last 5 weeks of the year!

About my business:
I am a bookkeeper specializing in QuickBooks online with small businesses. I also file personal and some business taxes. If you're looking for general financial advice I can help or refer you out if it's beyond my scope.
I primarily work remotely with multiple clients on a subcontract basis. I am able to handle everything your small business needs for bookkeeping as well as business planning and analysis. My experience has been primarily with service based contractors but I do work with other industries as well. My experience is heavy on the collections side therefore I do consider myself quite experienced in this field of work.
The end goal with all of my clients is firstly for them to have timely and relevant financial statements tailored to their preferences. Secondly we report to the CRA our taxes. This covers GST, payroll tax (if there is any) and in some cases I am filing corporate taxes as well. I will be taking a course in the near future (2023) to refine my skills in the area of corporate taxes.
My life limits me in the amount of clients I can take on and the amount of time I can spend with each. My hours are posted and those will be in place until 2025 when my youngest goes to school. I tailor the experience to match each client's needs, sometimes it doesn't work well to be out of physical contact.. but I have clients who mail me (or hand me) large amounts of paperwork, which I return. I also have clients who store all paperwork electronically and we share it that way. I do represent my clients with the CRA, ROE web (if required) and WCB (BC) as well.

I do have one opening in my roster currently but I am "saving" it for a couple individuals who have expressed interest. If you're looking to work with me please contact me to find out my availability.

I am looking for new small business clients, with a favour to those using QuickBooks online. Please let me know if you or someone you know is looking for a bookkeeper or feeling frazzled on the books

It's been a very long time since I've been looking to take on new clients, but here I am now. With my youngest soon to go into part time care it's time for me to ramp up my clientele and get back into the workforce. I have been doing full cycle bookkeeping for our business and a few family & friends over the past few years. What this means for you or someone you may know; invoicing, deposits, collections, payroll, taxes and anything else you want to discuss.

It's tax time 🇨🇦 your slips are due to you Feb 28. When you have everything you need please DM me or email/text to get the ball rolling. No we do not need to live close or interact in person. I take pictures/scans and mail and all communication generally happens over email or text. My bill comes by email and I accept e-transfer, cash and cheque. My rate is $40/hour plus any shipping charges.
