Before joining Team Eagle, Robert Tyrer spent 20 years as Director of Airport Operations / Fire Chief at Greater Sudbury Airport and 17 years as Airport Manager in Moosonee, Ontario.

That experience taught him to look beyond specifications:

Preserving a Piece of 9/11 History.

As we mark 25 years since September 11, 2001, we reflect on a piece of history Team Eagle was honoured to help preserve.

Team Eagle’s connection to Foam 331 began when we purchased the truck at auction, unaware of its history.

We later learned that the Oshkosh T-3000 rescue truck had responded to the Pentagon following the September 11 attacks.

After understanding its historical significance, Team Eagle worked with retired Fire Chief William “Bill” Stewart and Oshkosh to help preserve the truck.

Today, Foam 331 is displayed at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, where its story can be shared with future generations.

We are honoured to have played a small part in preserving this important piece of history.

In recognition of those who serve and sacrifice, Team Eagle and Eagle-Myslik are proud to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in the United States and Soldier On in Canada.⁠

We will never forget.

Airfield operations aren’t learned from a brochure. They’re learned through winter events, operational pressure, coordination challenges, split-second timing decisions and real-world responsibility.

Before joining Team Eagle, Chris Altass spent years in airport operations leadership, including serving as Manager of Airside Services at Halifax International Airport Authority. That experience still shapes how he approaches every conversation today.

Chris doesn’t look at airport equipment from a sales perspective first. He looks at it operationally:
Will it work?
Will it improve efficiency?
Will it support crews when conditions are at their worst?

Airports don’t need another generic equipment pitch. They need practical solutions from people who understand what it takes to keep an airfield moving safely.
