Trent Hills Accounting Services Limited has been a business in Campbellford for over 16 years offering bookkeeping, taxation and accounting services to the surrounding area. This growing business has been able to offer employment to several individuals in the past and once again we are looking to add to our workforce.
We are looking for someone with at least two years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a business-services environment, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Our in-house program is NewViews Accounting Software which you will receive training on when hired.
We also require someone who pays attention to detail and accuracy of work, along with the ability to think independently, and to be a team player. If you are familiar with payroll or taxation that would be an asset.

Office Hours Update for August Long Weekend

TAX TIP OF THE WEEK – APRIL 24th, 2026
Did you know that a Multigenerational Home Renovation Tax Credit (MHRTC) is available to claim for constructing a unit in your home for a disabled or senior individual. You can claim up to $50,000 in renovations to allow for a $7500 credit for constructing a self-contained unit that has a private entrance, kitchen, bathroom facilities and sleeping area and meets the applicable local requirements to qualify as a secondary dwelling unit. It can be a newly constructed unit or created from an existing living space.

TAX TIP OF THE WEEK – APRIL 17TH, 2026
Time is running out! All personal income tax returns in Canada need to be filed by April 30th each year, unless you are a small business owner (and then you have until June 15th). But if you owe, it is expected to be to CRA by April 30 or interest starts to accumulate on the debt.

Are you a young person who never filed a tax return before? You may be able to claim back all the income tax you paid on your weekly pay if you made less than $16,129 income in the year. We have special rates for students!

TAX TIP OF THE WEEK – APRIL 3rd, 2026
HURRY IN! If you haven’t dropped off your tax papers to complete your 2025 tax return yet, be aware that the deadline for filing and paying any debt to CRA is APRIL 30TH at midnight. Please remember that most tax services cannot complete your return on the last day since they are finishing others that came in ahead of you. Be sure to give us time to get them done and for you to sign so they can be e-filed on time!
NOTE: If you are going to be late and think you may have to pay, simply make a payment to your 2025 account by the 30th of April so you won’t be charged interest on the whole amount
