Location: Hoards Station, ON
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Every Tuesday, the occasional Friday
Pay: TBD
About the Position:
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking barn workers to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working around livestock, working outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the safe handling, sorting, loading, and unloading of livestock.
• Clean and maintain pens, alleys, equipment, and other barn areas.
• Help prepare the sale barn for livestock auctions and other events.
• Assist customers, truck drivers, and livestock owners as needed.
• Operate and maintain basic barn equipment and tools.
• Follow all livestock handling, workplace safety, and biosecurity procedures.
• Perform general labour and other duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with livestock is not necessary but would be considered an asset.
• Comfortable working around cattle and sheep in a busy barn environment.
• Physically capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and potentially late on sale days.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Valid driver's licence is an asset.
