Not comfortable showing up on video?

Find the place in your house where you are comfortable. For me it’s on the back step - dogs and all.

When your body is more comfortable it allows your voice to slow down, to soften and to have a conversation.

So instead of trying to find the “perfect” spot find the one where you feel most like you.

Social media isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up.

It’s about letting your audience know who you are so that they know you exist, give them an opportunity to connect and the reassurance that you’re the one they want to do business with.

They want to know who you are and if they can trust you with some of their biggest moments in life.

Do you show up regularly or do you resist showing up on camera?

Traveling is amazing, and also incredibly stressful.

I can’t be the only one that does the passport patdown 87 times on the way to the airport (or maybe it’s just me)

The reality is, travel is stressful for your clients too. Not all of their objections are real objections they could be covering for the embarrassment of feeling anxiety over something they think no one else gets.

What does it look like in actual words to “care for your clients”?

How can you explain it or what actions do you take that shows your clients you care about them and their vacation?

This weekend in 🇨🇦 it was a big reminder of two things
1.) work with a travel advisor! Hold times with WestJet (if you could even get through) were bananas
2.) it’s moments like this that you’re charging fees for. It’s not for when everything goes great it’s for the moments no one anticipates. Charging fees across the board makes incidents like this affordable for your clients because they really don’t want to be in to be paying for multiple hours of you waiting around to get through and you should not be working for free

Are you showing up?

People can’t buy from you if they don’t know you exist.

What does showing up look like in your business?

If you’re still using stock photos or auto posting companies you’re going to miss out.

Social media marketing looks different today than it did and will look different a few months from now.

I get it, it’s hard to keep up.

The one thing that hasn’t changed? Showing up - on camera, and being seen.

People want to connect with people.

What does showing up in your business look like to you?

Are you too focused on the price?

A lot of conversations I have with advisors is about how their clients are completely focused on the price - often it’s because they don’t know what other questions to ask.

Legit the hardest part of my adulting today is resisting the urge to book a cruise.
I told myself I have a goal I need to hit and I can wait … but to say that I’ve priced it for 10th time this week alone would not be an exaggeration.
This adulting stuff sucks sometimes!

I wonder how long til my adulting loses and I book the cruise? 😂

I get it some days clients just know how to push a button like no one else.

Today on a coaching call we had a conversation with an advisor who after doing all the work and turning around the quote quickly got back a response “sorry we booked on our own”.
In that moment the urge to send back an email expressing frustration is high.
Resist the urge to respond right away.
Step away, go for a walk, get a snack whatever it is that you need to do to not send an email while you’re still angry or frustrated.
We talked about how this advisor can walk back their initial email to at least know that they showed up as a better version of themself.
We don’t know what the client is experiencing in those moments and while we take it personal there is a lot of other factors at play too.
So next time … just repeat after me… I will not send emails while still pi**ed off 😂
And if you do have the humility to apologize

Have you ever responded to an email in the heat of the moment?
