Q: What materials can I put in my blue bags?

A: Accepted items include the same items that the bins at the Depot take, such as paper products (newspapers, packaging, cardboard, printed paper, and magazines), plastic packaging (both flexible and rigid), metal (packaging and single use products), and glass.

Your Curbside Recycling Questions Answered!

Q: Where do I place my recycling and when is it collected?

A: Set your recycling bags out where your carts are collected, keeping them at least 1 m away from your black and green carts. Flatten cardboard and place it under the bags or inside a cardboard box. Collection takes place every two weeks on your regular collection day.

Post consumer waste collected in our purple bins is identified as single use packaging. We do our best to assure Camrose meets the sorting facility requirement’s. A friendly reminder to review what is accepted at the Recycle Depot on our website www.camroserecycling.ca or on the City of Camrose website on the Waste and Recycling page.

It's almost here!!! Beyond-The-Bin Recycling Roundup is happening, this week, at the old Public Works building located at 4202—51 Avenue, Camrose, AB. This event runs on Friday, June 5, from 3PM—7PM; and Saturday, June 6, from 9AM—3PM.

Bring your electronics, paint, used oil materials and filters, and household hazardous waste for free!

This is a joint initiative brought to you by The City of Camrose, Camrose County, and Alberta Recycling.

As you see from this morning’s photo-Camrose residents were very active at the Depot over this beautiful weekend. Good news! We have made some room this morning, the bins will be emptied this afternoon. A friendly reminder to flatten cardboard as much as possible, and only post consumer packaging. No Styrofoam, No furniture please.
