🌲JOB POSTING:
Hello all,
We're looking to fill up to 5 spots on our brushing crew from ASAP until snow fly (typically first week of November in the Cariboo, so about 10-12 weeks of brushing remaining). Lots of year round work also available for the right candidates (brushing, block layout, pile burning, bucking, DTA/DTF, etc.). Always happy to train the right attitude into the perfect fit as well.
Details: This is a straightforward, not too bushy, endless quad trail construction project. We've been operating chainsaws for this project, but if you have and prefer a brush/swing saw that would be a great option as well! In an ideal world, we would be looking to hire 2 saw operators and 3 swampers, so no saw experience required.
Location: Outside of 100 Mile House, BC. Local candidates/members of the community considered a plus.
Schedule: 4 days/week (Monday-Thursday), 10-12hrs/day (typically will cap at 10hrs/day and 40hrs/wk) for an improved and sustainable work-life balance.
Accommodations: Provided at no cost to you while working, but you will need to cook for yourself. Cabins provided by the client at a resort about 45mins from the project. Transportation to and from the project provided. If local to the area, you would be able to return home if preferred. In this case, daily transportation to and from the project would be provided from Canim Lake, BC.
Pay: 20$/hr to 35$/hr. Most employees have averaged 30$/hr on this project, but rate is determined by experience and we're happy to tweek rates for employees surpassing expectations once we're able to evaluate your work firsthand. Additional typical 4% vacation pay paid out on top of every paycheque. Additional 25$/day stipend for the use of your own saw. Fuel and oil provided, but maintenance of your equipment is your responsibility.
If you have any questions or things I forgot to touch on, feel free to comment or PM and I'd be happy to answer them!
