HARVEST HELP NEEDED!

Exciting news - Harvest 2024 is here and itโ€™s a busy time in the vineyards! Due to the warm weather conditions, many varieties are ripening all at once. Grower meeting and tasting with our friends at Luckett Vineyards. A first for our vineyard, to be able to taste their gorgeous Pinot Noir made exclusively from fruit grown on our family vineyard. Limited inventory, only available directly at Luckettโ€™s. Iโ€™d run if I were you. ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿƒ ๐Ÿท

Whether you're visiting from outside of Nova Scotia or within the province, a trip to one of our many farm wineries doesn't go unnoticed. ๐Ÿฅ‚

Each time you stop in for a glass of wine, lunch, or to pick up a bottle or two on your way elsewhere, the effect is substantial. In 2022, the impact of all visitors to farm wineries in Nova Scotia was over $85.8 million.

Head to the link below to start planning a trip to one of Nova Scotia's farm wineries today.

Many people have been asking how the vineyard made out with the Polar Vortex - itโ€™s hard to explain the magnitude of damage throughout the entire province incurred by our grape and fruit growing farming families.

The first picture is from the top of the vineyard this afternoon - the remaining photos are from last season taken on June 14th 2022.

We are hopeful for a full recovery of the majority of these vines. They just need the time, and gorgeous days like this. โ˜€๏ธ ๐Ÿ‡ ๐Ÿท

The Pinot Noir is fully harvested today, thanks to our amazing crew!

The Chardonnay sits at 17.2 brix, the entire block looks so clean, and is enjoying last minute veraison in the late afternoon sun.

Tying in with the last post - here are a few shots of typical bird damage in the vineyard. They donโ€™t leave much behind, and what IS left behind is damaged and can create perfect conditions for bunch rot disease.

10 minutes in the vineyard is equivalent to hours of foraging in the forest for birds -
Itโ€™s easy to see why they see us as a one stop buffet.
