RPM Rebuilt Pumps and Motors Ltd. are accepting applications for an Assistant Service Tech. to join our team. If you're interested in learning a highly skilled trade in electrical apparatus rewind/repair that's in high demand, then this position may be for you.

Full-Time Permanent

Responsibilities:

- Assist our service/rewind techs in shop
- Assess/disassemble/reassemble electric motors, pumps, gear reducers, associated apparatuses
- Clean parts/prep jobs for repair/assembly
- Keep work area/repair shop in a clean & organized manner
- Pick up/drop off from suppliers/customers
- Practice workplace safety at all times
- Hours are 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday to Friday (42.5 hours per week)
- Willing to work after hours on a call-in basis as needed

Skills/Assets:

- Must be familiar with all aspects of hand/power tools
- Skilled oral and written communication
- Forklift operator course would be an asset
- WHIMIS/First Aid/Safety Courses would be an asset
- Any electrical skills would be an asset
- Previous repair shop experience an asset
- Previous customer service an asset
- Computer skills an asset

Qualifications:

- Clean Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Must have own hand tools (shop tools supplied by employer)
- Must be willing to do safety courses both online and in class
- Must be a team-oriented individual

Benefits:

These pumps would be great for filling a water tote at the cabin from a pond, Supplying water for livestock, marine applications, could also be used to supply water in fire suppression efforts in areas with only brooks and ponds for water supply.
