MonarchRecruits is recruiting a Policy and Research Officer for the Federation of PEI Municipalities.

This is an opportunity to turn research and analysis into practical policy advice on issues affecting PEI municipalities, including governance, infrastructure, housing, planning and finance.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will prepare briefing materials, monitor legislative and policy developments, analyze municipal input, and contribute evidence to support advocacy and Board decisions.

We’re seeking someone with a relevant university degree, considerable experience in policy research or related work, and strong analytical and plain-language writing skills. Knowledge of municipal issues and experience with governments or member organizations are assets.

Annual salary: $73,242–$89,856

Gossip is more than casual conversation. When assumptions, opinions, or unverified information are repeated as fact, they can damage reputations, relationships and trust.

Before you repeat something about another person, ask yourself: Do I know this to be true? Is it mine to share? Could it cause harm?

Assumptions become gossip when we start sharing them as though they were facts.

In our workplaces and our communities, words matter. A little more thought before we speak can prevent a great deal of harm.
