The numbers in the first quarter of 2025 back it up:

Women-owned businesses make up 19.5% of all private sector businesses in Canada, that’s a 1.9% increase from the first quarter of 2024.
70.7% of senior management roles within these businesses are held by women.
87% operate in service-producing sectors.

PEIBWA’s mission is to support these incredible businesses and strenghten women’s leadership in PEI.

Growth is happening across PEI. PEIBWA exists to make sure women entrepreneurs are part of it.

Imagine having a trusted mentor and a supportive group of fellow entrepreneurs in your corner as you tackle challenges, explore new opportunities, and grow your business with confidence.

PEIBWA, in partnership with WeBC and the Government of Canada’s Women Entrepreneurship Strategy, is now accepting applications for its Peer-Led Mentorship Program. Beginning October 13, 2026, this 8-week program connects entrepreneurs with experienced mentors and a collaborative community committed to learning, sharing, and growing together.

Each session is designed to help you stay accountable, gain fresh perspectives, make informed decisions, and build momentum in your entrepreneurial journey.
