How many Bobcats can you fit into an International truck tractor on Career Day? Just ask this fine group of industry professionals who joined the PEITSC today at Bluefield HS for our career info sessions! If you were a student interested in being truck driving, T&T maintenance/repair, HR recruiting, entrepreneurship, safety coordination or even driving instruction; our assembled gang had you covered! Needless to say, a huge thank you to Blair Gray of ASTA Safety & Transport Training, Aaron Jones of BJ's Truck Centre Charlottetown,Natasha Malisevych & Vanessa Murraine of Midland Transport Limited and Molly McHugh of OSCO Construction Group, Andy Keith of SFX Transport and Mathieu Landry of Transport Training Centres of Canada/JVI. And while we weren't excited to see the rain, it certainly didn't dampen the students' interest in the two trucks that Blair and Aaron brought along to show the kids--kudos to ASTA & BJ's for helping us out today with that!



*Finally, much appreciation to Tammi Jo Auld and everyone on Bluefield's staff who organized such an excellent event and gave us such warm welcome!

Look at this fantastic group who joined the PEITSC today at Three Oaks Senior High School for our Career Day sessions this year! Almost every corner of PEI's trucking sector was well-represented and students in attendance learned a wealth of career-path info from some of our great employer friends in the industry! Many many thanks to Esther Marbella & Matt McNair of ADL, Blair Gray of ASTA Safety & Transport Training, David Dunphy & Madelyn Doucette of Cavendish Agri Services, Natasha Malisevych & Vanessa Murraine of Midland Transport Limited and Molly McHugh of OSCO Construction Group. And if that wasn't enough, the kids also got to check out the ASTA truck tractor that Blair took to TOSH for us. Needless to say, much knowledge was shared and much fun was had!
*Much appreciation to Cara Decoste, Shelley Schurman & the entire TOSH staff who invited us, organized everything and gave us such a warm welcome!

Do you like trucks, fire/rescue vehciles, police cruisers, tractors, and other awesome machines?

Does your family like to have fun? Maybe some music, games or BBQ too?

If you enjoy all of the above and more, be sure to head down to the Charlottetown Event Grounds tomorrow (Sept 26th) for the BGC's third annual Trucks for Kids fundraiser!

Admission is by voluntary donation, with a suggested contribution of $5 per person. All proceeds support local youth programs through BGC Charlottetown.

*Presented by the City of Charlottetown and BGC Charlottetown, Saturday, Sept. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Charlottetown Event Grounds (360 Grafton St.).

This year's round of T&T Mechanic Block Release classes set to kick off in two weeks! Are you signed-up yet?!?!

*Block/Level 1: Oct. 13th to Dec 9th.

*Block/Level 2: March 1st to April 9th.

*Block/Level 3: April 19th to June 4th.

*Block/Level: June 14th to Aug 6th.
