Five introductions arranged. Three happening this weekend. Ten people on this island about to meet someone we genuinely believe is worth their time.

Less than a year in and we are still surprised by what is possible when people decide to show up for something real.

“Recently I went to bingo for the first time in my life. I am 61 years old and it was an experience I had been missing out on.

I went with five friends. We made a proper night of it. We had dinner first. Then we settled in with our cards and our dabbers and our very different approaches to the evening.

Some took it seriously. Very seriously.

Some were quietly focused, doing exactly what they were supposed to be doing.

And then there was me and one other person who shall remain nameless -- to protect their identity and reputation -- who may have been having slightly too much fun for the serious bingo players in our vicinity. Honestly, who knew giggling was a major Bingo offense?

Here is what I noticed though. Six completely different personalities. Six completely different approaches to a Friday Bingo night out. And not one moment where anyone felt wrong for being exactly who they are.

That is what I look for when I make a match. Not someone just like you. Someone who is completely fine with exactly who you are.

Even at bingo.
