Safe Operation of a Lift Truck course open to individuals and smaller groups.
Date: Saturday, February 8, 2025
Location: Thames Campus Arena, Chatham – Blue Line Room (first room on the left after entering the main entrance)
Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
If you or your employees require certification, I encourage you to register for this theory class.
Practical Evaluation
After completing the in-class theory portion, participants will need to pass a practical evaluation (driving test). I typically schedule this for the following week, accommodating your company’s production needs and the participants’ experience.
Important: The Ministry recommends participants have at least 8 hours of lift truck operating experience before attempting the practical evaluation.
Certification Details
* Upon successfully completing both the theory and practical
components, participants will receive a wallet certificate valid for 36
months, meeting Ministry compliance requirements.
* Certification must be renewed every 36 months.
Requirements
* Functional English language skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
are mandatory.
* The Ministry mandates lift truck certification for operators.
Course Fee
The cost for this course is $150.00 per person (plus HST) for participants within Chatham-Kent. This fee includes both the theory session and the practical evaluation, which will be scheduled at your worksite using your worksite lift truck.
