This MDS M515 is being fed 24"-minus blasted rock and making the first heavy-duty separations:

• 24"–12" oversize
• 12"–6" midsize
• 6"-minus for further screening

The 6"-minus material then moves to the EvoQuip C**t 1600, where it is separated into:

• 6"–3"
• 3"–¼"
• ¼"-minus fines

The M515 tackles the big rock. The C**t 1600 finishes the job with more precise sizing.

What if the material you’re paying to haul away isn’t waste at all?
For many lumber operations, log yard scrapings are simply something that needs to be dealt with.
Wood fibre. Rock. Fines. Oversized debris. It gets mixed together, piles up and eventually costs money to haul away and landfill.
But one BC lumber producer found another option.
Using a Powerscreen Warrior 1800 scalping screen and Komptech Stonefex 3000E rock and wood separator, mixed log yard scrapings were separated into four useful product streams:
🍃 50% compostable fines
🌲 20% clean wood fibre
🪨 15% reusable aggregate
🪵 15% oversize material
Instead of one costly waste stream, the operation could recover usable material, reduce transportation and landfill costs, reuse aggregate on site, and make better use of material that was already there.
