Chipman Outreach Inc

Chipman Outreach Inc Over 40 years of experience empowering members to remain active and vital within the community. Chipman Outreach Inc.

(COI) has 31 years of experience empowering seniors, disabled, injured and convalescing community members and their family members to remain active and vital within the community and to live as independently as possible. COI staff and personal care aides (PCAs) take pride in their role in improving their client’s health and quality of life and contributing to their client’s sense of confidence and

self-worth. Over the years, COI has evolved from a small operation founded in partnership with government to fulfill the unmet home care and meal delivery needs of seniors into Chipman’s second largest employer and most recognized, trusted, and reliable provider of home care and home support services. COI’s strength derives from its community roots—founded in Chipman by local healthcare and community leaders, directed by residents of the Grand Lake community, and in touch and responsive to the needs of the region. COI boasts one of the most loyal, experienced, and educated workforces in the New Brunswick home care industry. The company actively recruits high-potential employees, paying 50% of training costs. In addition, the company offers a comprehensive group health and dental plan, paying 50% of employee premiums. A variety of other programs and benefits, including employee appreciation and bonus programs, ensure continued job satisfaction and remarkably low employee turnover. COI PCAs average 9.3 years of service with the company, with several employees having accumulated over 25 years of experience with COI. COI is run by a disciplined, active, and well-governed Board of Directors. Over the last two decades, COI has put in place a governance structure that institutionalizes regular oversight of operational policies and procedures to ensure they meet industry and Social Development standards. COI has implemented rigorous human resource protocols, including employee on-boarding procedures, mandatory training sessions, bi-annual performance reviews, and corrective action procedures. And COI has modernized its operations, transitioning almost every facet of the organization, including record-keeping and financial management, to the digital age. The COI Board of Directors long ago implemented best practice financial management protocols, including producing audited financial statements annually. As a result of the Board’s disciplined and careful financial oversight, COI maintains a healthy financial reserve, offers comprehensive employee benefits, and can invest in and sustain significant growth. COI organizes and delivers a broad, client-focused continuing education program. One hundred per cent of COI PCAs are certified in accordance with Social Development standards and have completed the Social Development Rapid Rehabilitation and Reablement training program. COI builds continuing education programming into its regular operations for their PCAs. We service clients through the following programs:
• COI Private Clients
• Social Development
• Rapid Rehabilitation and Reablement
• Veterans Affairs
• Extra-Mural Program
• Worksafe NB

Chipman Outreach Inc., Board and staff would like to thank J.D. Irving Limited for their generous donation of 2000 masks. This donation of personal protective equipment (PPE) will provide our Personal Care Aides with masks, as they provide personal care to our clients.
Our seniors are a vulnerable sector of our community who need our help in protecting them against Covid-19. We are so grateful to have this donation of masks, as it has been very difficult to obtain PPE’s, during this pandemic.
Thank you J.D. Irving Limited for supporting our community.

Today, May 19th is Personal Support Worker Day. A day to recognize the hard work, dedication and caring nature of PSWs. Although I try to tell the PSWs that I work with how awesome they are regularly, I want to let everyone know how truly amazing and appreciated each one of COIs PSWs are!

Thank you all for everything you do for your clients, your community, and for me!
