Not every day is an adventure day🌡️ With temperatures rising, it is important to check the heatstroke risk, adjust your plans, and keep a close eye on your dog in warm conditions.

⚠️ If you suspect heatstroke:
- Move your dog to a cool, shaded area
- Rapidly cool them with cold water
- Contact your veterinarian immediately

Stay safe and always put your dog first 🐕☀️

Please note: this is a general guide. Heatstroke risk can vary significantly between dogs and environments. Factors such as fitness, health, humidity, activity level, and what temperatures and conditions a dog is accustomed to can also influence heat tolerance.

Lola has a very high prey drive. Very high.

But she’s also got a very high motivation for running, swimming , hiking and harness work in particular Canicross which we do five days a week.

Here she is after a morning Canicross run from 0700-0800 at White Hills. Normally her prey drive would never permit that squirrel anywhere near that close but with a full heart, full belly and a Canicross run under her belt before 0800am; Lola is far too content to drive it off; instead she’s having a better morning soaking up sun than possibly most of us!
